Episode 2: LEADERS

We live in a world where people in positions of prestige and authority don’t always exemplify the leadership qualities that we wish they would…and that we hope to instill in our kids.

On this episode I chat with musician, writer, and father Matt Hinkley about good guys and bad guys, looking for leadership in unexpected places, and about the importance of leading with kindness and compassion.

I also talk to Fred Salomon, a high school dean of students about tough love, student leadership, and paying it forward.

And to round out the episode, I sit down with Jane Burgess, whose father, Donald Cookman spent 40+ years as a career politician, to discuss the ways her experience growing up shaped the way she talks to her own kids about leadership.
